In this tutorial we will guide you how to make an Infographic in Photoshop. Complete details are given below:
Infographics is the latest trend in the market since they are able to transfer cumbersome and volume data within the gamut of the infographic. Infographics explain the matter in them by their own selves and need no words to explain the content; haven’t you heard the saying that ‘pictures express thousands of word’.
Here is a small list how you may create some self-explanatory attractive Infographics.
Percentage Visualizations for perfect understanding
Infographics slowly present the data and let you visualize with time. In this tutorial, we will take Adobe Photoshop as the typical platform and applying them to your ideas in hidden recesses you will be able to create some stunning infographics.
1. First Bar
Here, we will choose a light 3D appearance for showing the percentage in bar forms. Pick up the rectangle tool and choose the color to draw a short bar.
2. Second Bar
If you press Ctrl+J, the same bar will be duplicated. Using the Move tool the position has to be place below the first bar and slightly shift to the right. A small region in the bars must be overlapping. Now you will have to double-click on the layer thumbnail in layer windows and choose a color of a lighter shade than the first bar. Using the tool of Direct selection one has to pull the right edges to the right.
3. The Transition
Using the sane trick you will have to create another bar, but now you will have to place Direct Selection and place the right edge in the top to the right edge of the first bar. The lower edge is to be handled in a similar fashion and a color given that is slightly darker so that all the bars are can be differentiated. Place the layout such that the small dark bar rests in between.
4. Labeling and Reproduction
Now you can make a duplication of the same bars as many times as you need with changing colors and positions. Use the Tool of Direct Selection to elongate or curtail any bar. Text can similarly label the bars.
Illustrations to enhance
1. Knock-out iIlustrations
To give added quality to the infographic distinctive illustrations that are ready made are most preferred. They can provide unlimited scalability and are a form of vector graphics. Like, for example, one may place origami animal logos in suitable topics like those involved in the house. But darned often you may not get a neutral background and then you will have to double click and then choose Layer 0. Then use the pencil tool to give the final touches.
2. Adding illustrations
Combine all the illustrations that are set in the separate layers and add them to the bar graphs. But the matter does not end here we will add some more features and make it more attractive.
Drawing Man and Woman
1. Legs and head
In this, the Ellipse tool will be most useful along with the Shift key. Creating a perfect circle you will have the head and or the legs you will have to use the rounded and rectangular too for perfect shape. For the radius, a 20 pixels radius is good enough. For the female just copy the icon that you have created and give it lighter shades. The layer thumb and mouse will be your weapons! Use the move tool and pencil tool to create the skirt. Your options for the shape will be available at the options bar.
The body can be easily made out of the rectangle tool and for the man you can give special effects by using the rounded tool for the shoulders. But be careful, you will have to use only half of the circle. Arms and legs must be added with details with the rounded rectangular tool. Options bar will help you to delete areas.
3. Percentage values
Positioning the arms on the woman will involve choosing Edit, then Transform path and then Rotate. Again the percentage values will be used with the rectangle tool, and text tool for its aid. Use color white for the values.
