Login Page Designs
In this article we will tell you about some of the best login page designs. Here’s the list of some.
Most of us simply log on to websites mechanically, seldom wondering as to how these pages are made. But think-a recent survey dealing with users interface stated that about 45% users have multiple logins, close to one million people ask for a new password every day and seventy five per cent people fail to complete the login process. Online portals thrive on people logging, and if the customers notice that the process of registration is drab or cumbersome, they simply lose interest.
Those visitors who do not get registered do not get to see the content innately and the reviews. This decreases conversion rates, and hence it is a vast deal to have an extremely simple, innovative and useful login page.
Gowalla sign-in form
The Gowalla sign in form design is effortless and not even close to the–first name, last name, date of birth options. It contains the option for the email address first and then the password line next. It is standard and nothing too much in detail. There is an option for a new password in case the users have forgotten the password. It is well equipped with the user interface elements, and along with this they also have a highly systematic approach in case somebody has failed to login.
For example if the username or password is wrong then the website will not only show the error message but also show you the picture that has been attached to your account. This Profile Picture trick has made it extremely easy, and people simply state –yes, this is my account- or- No, this is not me.
The Quora website
Have you seen the log-in page design of the question and answer website–Quora? It is similar in its approach but has a slightly modified way of working. This too contains a user id line and then password. As soon as an invalid or unmatched mail or password is being attached, Quora will notify immediately (with the ‘oops.’ message). Additionally, if one wants, the option for registering once again appears there and then. It is faster and more convenient for the users. The profile picture option is available here also; in case the address is wrong then the picture will help to log in. Only variation is that while, in Gowalla, you will have to submit the form, here there is no need for submitting.
Another form of Quora log-in
The login form from Quora also has an option that states to enter into the account without the password. Say, for example, your profile picture appears just as your mail id. You simply click on the picture and get logged in. Indeed this is trouble free, and if anybody is not ready to do this he can go the old fashioned way of logging in with a password.
Login by connecting to Social Networking sites
This is probably the fastest way of logging in. If users are signed with the social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, then they can use the same user id to log in particular websites. It is startling to note that, on any particular day, as much as fifty per cent users of Facebook are using this id to log into other sites. Check the Gowalla log in too; it has an option to log in with Facebook id from the “log in with Facebook” option.
Does animation fascinate you?
Try some of the pages that have characters like Strawpoll having an owl sitting on the bog for logging in. MapleStory has a fascinating backdrop. The log-in form is hoisted on a wooden board, with mushrooms and trees scattered around. Similarly, Globe Green has an attractive green backdrop resplendent with trees and verdure nature.
